Error when trying to access the SSP in Central Admin

I am receiving the following parser error message when trying to access the
Shared Services page in Central Administration of SharePoint. Any ideas?

The base type
'Microsoft.Office.Server.Internal.UI.SharedServicesAdminDefaultPage' is not
allowed for this page. The type is not registered as safe.

Hi Greg,

have you tried in the site settings of your SSP to reset to site
definitions? That should do the trick
